Russian programmer ranked first on TopCoder Open
At the quite prestigious TopCoder Open competition, Egor Kulikov won first place in the "Algorithms" category. This programmer works for Yandex, and he has previously won prizes at various programmer contests.
As for the category "Algorithms", the participants of the competition must quickly solve algorithmic problems, both in full-time and in absentia rounds. Competitions in this category took place from September 30 to October 4. The competition venue is Orlando, Florida.
A total of 24 people participated in the final, with the Russian programmer ahead of his main rival by 50 points, gaining 215.94 points. The prize is not bad - 15 thousand US dollars, with a total prize fund of 300 thousand US dollars.
