Using dreams to test a project

I work test cases at night. At the entrance to a dream, you set the parameters and get a video sequence of possible events along with the system response to these events. In the morning, check the adequacy of what you see and make amendments to the layout.

Unlike standard testing methods, dreams allow you to lose ridiculous and unimaginable situations. This is a dream! And the user who is trying to register on your site while zombies are chasing him can easily dream about it!

Is your site convenient for registration in a zombie apocalypse?

Fantastic options can be discarded and look like Hollywood blockbusters, not shifting to work. And other dreams can give situations more close to the reality of your users:

In the simplest case, dreams will simply give a situation for testing, which in a vigorous state cannot be documented. In more advanced versions, dreams give a criticality rating and solutions. "Nightmares" are able to show the most unfavorable developments.

Are you even able to imagine for a second what might happen if all buttons disappear on your site?

What is required to test a project using dreams?

  1. It is necessary to understand the architecture of the system at an intuitive level. So that the subconscious mind can simulate a reaction to unexpected events.
  2. It is necessary to clearly put the problem to be solved before going to bed. This problem should really bother. If, in addition to work, your head is filled with thoughts about the upcoming vacation, then the dream will be mixed.
  3. In the sleep settings you need to specify ... Hmm ... Of course, there are no such settings. And this is the most difficult condition for using dreams in project testing. "Difficult", but not "impossible"!

I hope I brought you the pleasure of the topic of the article. Everything is written on the verge of a joke, but I assure you that this joke has been repeatedly tested in practice.

Good luck and sweet dreams;)
