Georeiting and their relationship with the ratings of people

There will be few letters, almost in the subject of small format content . The geographic location rating is not a new idea, although not very common, it looks interesting from different points of view. For example, the price map for real estate in Kiev is not positioned as a rating, but in fact it is geo-rating, since the average price of an apartment is an integral assessment of the quality of life in a given area. Or, looking at the map, you can see the most criminogenic areas (this is also not a ranking of places, but it is easily transformed into geo-rating). You can also think of geo-rating in terms of choosing the most interesting places to travel. However, I would like to draw attention to the unusual possible use of geo-ratings - their connection with people's ratings .

Example: you live on a ruble. It already characterizes you. Even more you are characterized by the usual routes of your movements - where you go, what shops, clubs, theaters and other establishments you visit, the likely place of work, the likely presence of children (visiting kindergartens and schools) - all this will tell you about your social and cultural status, perhaps more truthful and more than information about you from social networks or the history of your search queries. More precisely, these are different well complementary sources of information. So Foursquare, with its knowledge of users' checks, is no less powerful in this regard than Google and Facebook.

The only question is the sensible processing of this data. Therefore, in conclusion I want to say that this is generally just an interesting topic from the point of sociology, understanding of the structure of society, its various groups.

Update of 10/30/2012 In the formation of geo-ratings: likes for real geographic objects .
