The Jelastic project won in the nomination "Technological Leader". It was very nice to share the podium with other winners, including Hadoop Project , Parleys.com and Liquid Robotics . Duke's Choice Awards is a celebration of innovation in the world of Java technology. Such an award can only get the most innovative, advanced and ambitious Java-projects. This is a 10-year tradition within the community and winning is, of course, a high honor in the Java world. At one time, such famous companies as Motorola, Terracotta, tlassian and Apache Software Foundation were the winners. The main criterion for the award is innovation: in our case, this is the development of the Jelastic Java Cloud cloud hosting platform.

"It is a great honor to receive an Oscar of Java technology - The Duke's Choice Award," said Ruslan Sinitsky, founder and CEO of Jelastic. “In just one year of existence, our company has changed the course of the game in cloud computing. We offer the user automatic scaling, convenient integration with development tools, the ability to build projects in the cloud and much more. At the same time, Jelastic hosting is available worldwide: in Russia, USA, Germany, Great Britain and Japan. I would also like to express special thanks to all our partners, including Parallels, NGINX, GlassFish, MariaDB, Runa Capital and Almaz Capital funds, who helped us to achieve this high goal. We will not stop at what we have achieved: our plans for the next year are to increase the number of hosting partners around the world, improve technology and, most importantly, make life even easier for developers. ”

It is difficult to describe all this enthusiasm and joy that our whole team feels. For us, this is a huge success and recognition from the entire Java community, which means we are moving in the right direction.

Thanks again to all our users and readers! Thanks for the fair criticism, for the tips and ideas! Without you, this victory would be impossible.
