I remember that one of the issues of the Vogue magazine came out with a glued-in device, from which the craftsmen did everything from a digital display to a
TV player. One of the publications, Entertainment Weekly, decided to go even further, and pasted a working 3G smartphone into the latest issue. The reader can see only the display, which, which is logical, shows ads. All this was done to advertise the CW network, and the display shows two short recordings of different shows, and after that - tweets from the official CW account.
It turned out that this is not just a display, but part of a complex device, a 3G-smartphone on Android. Produced a smartphone in China, which is also not surprising. Nowadays almost everything is produced in this country, besides, the magazine would not include a very expensive smartphone in the set.

As for the device itself, the kit includes a battery, a QWERTY keyboard, a T-Mobile 3G card, a camera, a speaker, and a USB port. The device was created at the Foxconn factory, which we all heard about. Of course, there is no case for a smartphone, because in that case it wouldn’t be possible to glue it in. It turned out that the "stuffing" is taken from
this smartphone.
About 1000 copies of Entertainment Weekly magazine with a smartphone are currently released. So, if you live in one of the countries where this magazine is sold. It seems that with this smartphone, craftsmen will be able to do much more interesting than in the case of a simple device from Vogue.
By the way, there is a video of this device, taken out of the magazine. Video can be found on the link indicated below, Habr does not allow to insert the code of this video, unfortunately.
