Apple Support: Violet highlights on iPhone 5 pictures - this is normal, hold the camera correctly

One of the readers of the Gizmodo tehnoblog, Matt Van Gastel, sent to the editors of the site an answer to his letter, which he sent to Apple about the characteristic purple artifacts appearing on the photos received by the camera of his iPhone 5. These are numerous user complaints, which are illustrated by the following:

Apple’s technical support team, represented by some kind of Debby, gives the following advice to appeal: engineers studied the photos provided and came to the conclusion that Mett should avoid certain angles at which he holds the device while shooting in relation to bright light. And this camera behavior [purple highlights] is the normal behavior for the iPhone 5.







An interesting point is also the fact that this email was received after Mett tried to call the support service, talked to her employee, who acknowledged that there should not be any violet highlights and asked to send examples of photos to study the problem. As a result, as it turned out, the problem is not.
