Xi3 Corporation introduced two new models of mini-desktops

About a year ago, I published the news about an unusual desktop computer, which was announced by Xi3 Corporation. Then the description did not contain a lot of technical details, since the PC itself was more of a concept than a real device. Some time later, this company still realized its concept, and began to produce a model X5A-5342, with a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.86 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB - 1TB SSD (optional client), two USB 2.0 ports. The size of such a desktop is 4.73 * 3.65 * 3.65 inches), and the case itself serves as a cooling system. Now the company has introduced two new models, including a system for gamers.

The updated model X5A-5342 will include a dual-core 64-bit processor with a frequency of 1.65 GHz, 4 GB DDR3, 32 GB - 1 TB SSD (optional), two USB 3.0 ports, four eSATA ports, four USB 2.0 ports, GbE LAN.

Also offered is a model for gamers, X7A Modular. Here we have a quad-core processor with a core frequency of 3.2 GHz, 4-8 GB DDR3, integrated graphics. According to the developers, the power of the system is enough to play Crysis 2 and other similar games. The system can also support the work of three monitors simultaneously.

So far, two new models are not ready, the authors put them on the kickstarter users' trial. Total collected 15945 thousand dollars of the 250 thousand required to run the series. Price ranges from 500 USD for younger model and from 1000 cu for the older, "gaming". According to the developers, their system can work 6-10 years instead of the standard 3-5 for ordinary PCs.
