"

In connection with this situation, Microsoft intends to lobby in the US Congress for easing visa policy for highly educated engineering personnel who would like to get a new job in the US and invest millions of dollars in new education programs in technology, engineering and mathematics (what is called in the US STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). The same program also includes the allocation of funds for the preparation of teachers for schools who are well acquainted with modern computer technology.

According to Smith, Microsoft itself has more than 3,400 vacancies for researchers, developers and engineers that the company hopes to fill as quickly as possible at the expense of foreign specialists, for which it is ready to finance the distribution of 20,000 green cards from the US government federal reserve (each cost $ 15,000 for the company).
