Comstar-UTS launches hot spots in St. Petersburg

Comstar-United TeleSystems announces the launch of the first of the planned 50 public zones of wireless Internet access in St. Petersburg. She became the hotel "Marco Polo St. Petersburg", located on the 12th line of Vasilyevsky Island. The wireless network covers the entire hotel area, including rooms, restaurants, conference rooms and hotel halls.



Within the framework of the project, 11 wireless access points of the 802.11g standard were installed at the Marco Polo St. Petersburg hotel, providing data rates of up to 54 Mbps. Wireless bandwidth allows you to maintain a stable connection for more than 200 users simultaneously. Compatibility with 802.11b Wi-Fi devices with a maximum data transfer rate of up to 11 Mbps is automatically ensured.
