All of us already have information about Samiznaetekaky film in our livers, the placement on the YouTube service of which has led to a flurry of negative reviews and prohibitions in some countries, both of the film itself and of video hosting in its entirety. Our country was no exception, and the film will probably soon be included in the list of extremist materials and banned. With a relatively similar opinion of many countries, there are only ways to block access to the film - countries tyranny chop up “evil” in the bud and block access to YouTube completely, while more democratic countries ask Google to remove the movie from the video hosting site. Google's answer to this is known to us. In this regard, a terrific world precedent for the arrest of the Brazilian head of Google for a similar (we will not talk about that film) denial gave us a Brazilian court.
The Brazilian court issued an arrest warrant for Fabio Jose Silva Coelho, head of Google’s Brazilian division of Google. The reason was the manager’s refusal to remove videos that violate the country's strict electoral legislation from YouTube’s video service.
Complaints about the video, allegedly "tarnishing the reputation of" one of the candidates for the post of mayor of Campo Grande (Campo Grande), were filed by members of the election commission of the state Mato Grosso do Sul. According to them, the video, published on YouTube, "insults and defames" one of the candidates - Alcides Bernal. The electoral commission, during the trial, demanded that Google, through its head Silva Coelho, not only remove the controversial videos, but also block access to YouTube throughout the state of Mato Grosso do Sul for a day.
After the refusal of representatives of Google, the court authorized the arrest of Silva Coelho on charges of disobeying local authorities. However, as reported at the local police station, they have not yet received a warrant for the arrest of the head of the local Google. Representatives of the company have also stated that they intend to challenge the court’s decision on the grounds that YouTube’s service is not responsible for the videos that users place on it.
Dear Google Russia, without going into politics, I really want to believe that nothing like this will ever happen to you in our country.
