Round display from Toshiba and Matsushita

An interesting prototype of the display was presented by Toshiba and Matsushita. The fact is that he is round. According to manufacturers, such non-standard devices can be in demand in the automotive industry and, possibly, when creating portable devices.


The display diameter is 75 mm, the matrix size is 63 mm. The innovation in development is that when creating a display, both the matrix and the printed circuit board of the display are formed simultaneously. This is what allows the device to make such a non-standard form.

As for the technical characteristics, the prototype of the display from Toshiba and Matsushita has a resolution of 240 pixels, brightness - 500 nits, contrast - 600: 1.
