Yandex is 15 years old!
September 23, 1997 is the official birthday of the Yandex.Ru search engine. On this day, it was announced at the exhibition Softool in Moscow. The Yandex sample of 1997 took into account the morphology of the Russian language, the distance between words, and was able to rank documents according to their relevance for a given query.
