To stop access to the videos of “Innocence of Muslims” on YouTube is demanded by providers from the prosecutor’s office of the Komi Republic

Old news from Omsk and then from Volgograd involuntarily add new, homogeneous news: the KomiOnline news portal reports that the execution of the order of the Deputy Prosecutor General about the film Innocence of Muslims began in the Komi Republic. After checking the Komi prosecutor’s office, it turned out that providers had not yet blocked access to this film, which the prosecutor’s office considered to be extremist, and then prosecutors announced a number of warnings (with instructions to eliminate violations) to the following providers:

• Komi branch of OJSC "Rostelecom"
  
  
• branch of MTS OJSC in Syktyvkar,
  
  
• Syktyvkar branch of VimpelCom,
  
  
• CJSC Parma-Inform,
  
  
• CJSC Parma Mobile.

Five providers are listed here, but KomiOnline reports that there are eight warnings in total, and that the prosecutors of Usinsk and the Ust-Vym district have similarly addressed providers in their territories.



Whether providers will restrict access to a particular video or to a resource as a whole is not the competence of the Komi prosecutor’s office, as the local press service explains . But it is not difficult to guess that the number of copies of the video on YouTube is gradually multiplying, so that the case may end in complete blocking of the video site, especially since it is also technically simpler.

I emphasize that all this is accomplished without replenishing the Federal list of extremist materials , that is, one must think, without any court decision. And involuntarily comes to mind the name of the video posted in this list under the number 1448.
