ASUS introduces ZENBOOK U500VZ, ZENBOOK Prime UX21A Touch, TAICHI, Transformer Book laptops and Vivo Tab / Vivo Tab RT tablets.

ASUS ZENBOOK U500VZ



Performance has always had to sacrifice size and weight. Notebook ASUS ZENBOOK U500VZ proves that an ultra-compact laptop can be high-performance without any compromises in terms of form factor. The familiar design in the style of ZEN, the aluminum case with a thickness of not more than 19.7 mm is not surprising. Let's look inside. "Under the hood," a third-generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT650M graphics card. The ASUS ZENBOOK U500VZ disk subsystem can be represented as a hybrid solution (500GB HDD + 128GB SSD) and RAID 0 as an array of two solid-state drives with a total capacity of 512GB.

ZENBOOK Prime UX21A Touch



ASUS ZENBOOK Prime UX21A Touch is the first model in the ZENBOOK series, equipped with a multi-touch display. The filling includes a third-generation Intel Core processor and SSD `with a capacity of up to 256 GB. Works laptop running Windows 8.



The ZENBOOK Prime UX21A Touch has a Super IPS + screen with wide viewing angles (178 °). In the presence of USB 3.0 and dual-band module Wi-Fi 802.11n.



The appearance on the Russian market ASUS ZENBOOK Prime UX21A Touch is expected in October. The device will be sold at a price of 59,000 rubles.

ASUS introduced two tablet computers with Windows 8: the models ASUS Vivo Tab and ASUS Vivo Tab RT (previously known as ASUS Tablet 810 and ASUS Tablet 600, respectively).



ASUS Vivo Tab



ASUS Vivo Tab (the name is derived from the Latin "live") is equipped with an Intel Atom processor, 2 GB of system memory and user memory of 64 GB.



Like the “transformers”, the tablet is equipped with a docking station, which adds a pair of USB ports and increases battery life due to an additional battery.



Vivo Tab has a 11.6-inch Super IPS + display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and a multi-touch interface with support for Wacom digital pen. The thickness of the tablet is 8.7 mm, and the weight is 675 g. There are two cameras: a front 2 megapixel and a rear 8 megapixel autofocus and LED flash. Built-in NFC-sensor allows you to connect to other NFC-compatible devices.



ASUS Vivo Tab RT



The hardware configuration of ASUS Vivo Tab RT includes a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor with an integrated graphics core, 2 GB of system memory and 32 GB of user memory. Works under the operating system Windows RT. Its weight is 520 g, body thickness - 8.3 mm. Like the Vivo Tab, it can be used with a mobile docking station that offers a keyboard, touchpad, USB port and extra battery. 10.1-inch Super IPS + screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Like the older model, the Vivo Tab RT is equipped with two cameras and an NFC sensor.



Both tablets will be available immediately after the release of Windows 8.

ASUS TAICHI



When opened, the TAICHI looks like any other ultra-portable notebook with a full-sized keyboard and touchpad. However, another display is installed in the lid, on the back side, and when the lid is closed, the laptop turns into a tablet computer with a multi-touch screen and stylus support. Moreover, despite the fact that both screens are connected to the same hardware configuration, they operate completely independently of each other, allowing two users to work simultaneously with TAICHI simultaneously. They promise that the device will be as light and thin as ASUS ZENBOOK. Responsible for the performance of third-generation Intel Core and SSD drive.

ASUS Transformer Book



The ASUS Transformer Book is a notebook that inherits the tradition of tablet “Transformers” - you just need to disconnect its display from the keyboard. The hardware configuration of the Transformer Book includes a third-generation Intel Core i7 processor, a solid-state drive, or a hard disk.
