NSA chose a smartphone for the army and special services

The US National Security Agency sent an order to government agencies, as well as army units, to order a wholesale shipment of General Dynamics Sectéra Edge smartphones.

This ultra-secure smartphone model works in two modes: regular and secret (classified). A special button is used to switch to the secret mode (see the device diagram and a demo video ). The device provides reliable cryptographic protection for both telephone calls and e-mail. It can be safely dropped from a meter and a half to concrete up to 26 times (such a figure is indicated in the specifications) and the device is guaranteed to continue working without even being overloaded. The smartphone operates in the rain (pressure up to 40 PSIG) and can withstand temperatures from –23 ° C to + 60 ° C. Army requirements for vibration and dust resistance are also met.

The device will be on sale before the end of this year and will be available including for civil orders. Thanks to government procurement, the manufacturing company expects to gain up to $ 300 million for these smartphones within five years.
