YaC 2012: more, more interesting
Right off the bat: this year the listeners of Yet another Conference will have an extremely rich program consisting of 4 streams and 7 sections.
Together with us, experts from Microsoft Research, Cloud9 IDE, Adobe, Opera Software, Cisco Systems, Google, Spanfish, Nimbula and other companies will tell about technologies, trends in the world of development and practical experience.
The conference will be opened by Arkady Volozh and Ilya Segalovich.
We have prepared a brief overview of the sections to make it easier for you to decide which reports you want to hear.

Internet math will be presented this year with reports from Yandex and Microsoft Research. Also Dmitry Molkov (exFacebook), already beloved by the audience, will arrive with a report about MapReduce. We'll talk about advanced theorem proof algorithms, mathematical models that helped Yandex.Probka and much more.
Last year, everyone complained about the lack of a “cloud” section , so we prepared for you several reports on this topic: about cloud computing and data warehouses, features of creating such platforms and technologies that are being developed inside Yandex. In the lobby, there will be partner stands - Nimbula from Silicon Valley and the Yandex stand - “Opensource Stack”, where you can get to know Elliptics, Grape, ocaine and Fastcgi-daemon.
Testers will hear about the opensource tool for automating Thucydides acceptance testing, Terra's aggregation and visualization test results and fixes for PageObjects flaws, as well as Google’s testing experience. Ilya Katsev from Yandex will present the project "Robotester".
In the frontend section this year, they will talk about techniques and tools for measuring the speed of JavaScript systems, the ability to run their programs in the cloud and create their own libraries, about Progressive Enhancement and Raphael. In addition, we will talk about the design and testing of interfaces, as well as the experience of Yandex in joining the W3C. Guests of the section are Jan Jongboom from Cloud 9 IDE, Dmitry Baranovsky from Adobe and Vladimir Agafonkin from Leaflet.
Admins will focus on the new concept of SDN networks, which are qualitatively different from TCP / IP networks, on fault tolerance and load balancing and automate system administration in large projects. We will share our experience on how to launch IPv6 in Yandex.
Yandex Security and their colleagues from Opera Software, Openwall, Cisco Systems, Sinica Academy and LETA will talk in detail about how to protect millions of passwords, focus on the problems and features of BYOD implementation in organizations, share the features of working with mobile and cloud technologies, and talk about the security of SSL connections in browsers and the study of botnets through DNS traffic.
This year we will have a special section dedicated to mobile technologies: Yandex Mobile Camp will be held as part of YaC. We have prepared a program for two platforms: iOS and Android. In addition to our employees, invited experts from EPAM, Any Void and Applifto will speak . We will talk about the creation of interfaces and augmented reality, about Core Text and Core Animation, as well as about project autoassembly, Android libraries and application testing, memory leak analysis and much more.
A technological exhibition will take place in the lobby, where it will be possible not only to see the technological innovations and practical developments of Yandex and partner companies, which is about 12 stands, but also to visit the robotics exhibition, in which the YaC listeners take part, who have sent applications.
The dress code of this year: everyone can come in costumes favorite superheroes and IT-movies and get gifts.
