Microsoft updates old versions of Skype, regardless of the desires of users

Loyal, old Skype updated, consider - just betrayed me. A year ago, I turned off the update. At some point, the new, improved, ugly smiles and the increasing memory consumption with each version forced us to disable the update. This is the case when the old is better than the new.

It looked like this: suddenly I heard the sound of exiting Skype. No dialog boxes.
Launched a new one and here it is a new Skype!
The shadow of doubt ran through the convolutions - and for sure - crawled through the Windows Update!
But my version of Skype was released before the purchase by Microsoft.

One thing if it came along with the usual updates that are rolled up with a reboot.
The same method looks like a rootkit installation of "useful" software.

In fact, it turns out that Microsoft has just updated a third-party program, to which it has nothing to do. Paranoids in this place can understand that so Microsoft can do the same with any program.
