Type designer
Ivan Gladkikh , better known as Giovanni Lemonade (Jovanny Lemonad), yesterday (September 14, 2012)
announced the release of a new
font “ Stalin ”, created by him in collaboration with Alexei Maslov as a logical continuation of the artistic ideas embodied in an earlier
font " Metro ".
Text from the authors to create mood:
Imagine the post-apocalyptic world of the future. Everything and everyone is hiding in underground structures: people, dirty air and despair. Humankind still uses words, numbers and letters to transmit information. But they became simple, more expressive, with a steel rod, angularity and lack of sentimentality. Stalin is the font of the post-apocalyptic Moscow era of the end of the 21st century.

The font is available for free
download under the free license
SIL OFL 1.1, and is also
hosted on Google Web Fonts hosting (and this, in particular, provides the ability to
fetch a subset of characters to speed up font downloading to the reader).

Those who wish to respond to the free font with their own charity will easily find the conditions of the “Turn on your heart” campaign
in the blog of Lemonades .
