YouTube has launched a program to find the best online lecturers.

Yes, YouTube often holds interesting promotions, including the selection of musicians for the best orchestra in the world. Now the service has decided to take advantage of its popularity among people creating certain courses / lectures. So, soon something like “American Idol” will be held for online lecturers.

YouTube has long been working to improve the content hosted on the service, for which something has been allocated about 300 million dollars. To conduct their own channels were invited all sorts of sports stars, movies and music. Now, YouTube has thought about the educational component of the service.

The goal of the new project is to collect the best online lecturers who can show everything they are capable of. Of course, the choice will not be on appearance and not on vocal. Representatives of the Khan Academy will select the best of the best. In total, it is planned to find 10 “star” lecturers who in the future will become a permanent service worker. The found talents will be helped by everything possible, including a gift card from B & H for purchasing equipment.

They will choose among lecturers of any direction, from experts in the history of music to teachers of geometry. Grammar and geography, history and histograms - everything will be used. As part of the competition, you can submit any type of video lectures. And yes, you can upload not one or two videos, but as many as you are able to present.

Unfortunately, the program is not available for everyone (yes, this is the biggest minus), but only for residents of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand. The program began on September 13, and will end on October 1.
