The widely-known lawsuit between Apple and Samsung in a federal California court, which the Korean company
lost with a bang, spawned many opinions that turned out to be diametrically opposed. But who would have thought that such polar opinions could be among the shareholders of Apple. CEO Tim Cook was pleased with the court decision, but Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak criticized the jury’s verdict.
In
an interview with Bloomberg, Steve stated the following (free translation):
I do not like this decision, and I do not think that the decision of the California court will withstand the appeal. I disagree with him for the reason that, in my opinion, some small details cannot be patented, and cannot be considered as innovative. In my view, all technologies should be accessible to everyone through the free circulation of patents, and everyone can thus design their own unique product from these technologies .
Wozniak's words“I hate it. The decision of California will hold. I don’t really call that innovative.

PS And just today a German court found Motorola Mobility, a division of Google Inc., guilty of patent infringement
EP2126678 , owned by a company from Cupertino. The patent is known as a patent for overscrolling, which also violated Samsung in the famous trial. Apple has the right to demand a ban on the import of part of Motorola Mobility products into Germany.
