Amico bracelet helps you find your soul mate

As a teenager, I read science fiction. I read it now, but then I swallowed literally all the books that belonged to this genre. I remember I liked one story about the near future, when people find each other through special bracelets. These bracelets are associated with a central computer, which stores a huge amount of information about each person who plans to start a family. The process is as follows: you come to a marriage agency, it’s a single organization, you take a lot of testimony from you, psychologists work with you. Then the received information is encoded and loaded into the central computer. A bracelet is issued, which is connected by wireless communication with a computer and analyzes the information of people passing by. If a person is found whose data is compatible with yours, the bracelet vibrates, and the closer you are to your “half”, the stronger the vibration. In general, quite an interesting idea. What was my surprise when today I stumbled upon a description of such a system that is already running!

Yes, this is no longer a fantasy, but a working concept, which is implemented by Trovare. The description of the principle of operation given above almost completely coincides with the principle of operation of the Amico bracelet from Trovare. There are, of course, minor differences. For example, Facebook is used as the central system. The bracelet downloads information from your profile, and searches around for a signal from another bracelet. The device is equipped with a wireless module Bluetooth 4.0.

The information on your bracelet is constantly updated by working with a mobile application that has access to Facebook via the Internet. Within 50 meters, the device tries to look for other similar devices, and reads data from them. If there are any coincidences, common interests, etc., both bracelets begin to vibrate. It is clear that you do not know exactly who is the owner of the second bracelet, and start looking for this person within 50 meters. But this is not such a difficult task. First, two looking people immediately notice each other. Secondly, the bracelet itself is not so imperceptible (see photo).

Now the company has already found 250 thousand dollars for the project, but it takes about a million more to put it all into operation, to start mass production. If the bracelet enters the market, then its value will be about $ 40, not more. A good price for an interesting device, right?

Naturally, this is not an ideal system for finding a life partner, or at least a couple for a couple of months. But the idea is interesting, and we must think that many people will use this device to search for their couple.
