At the Skolkovo MD conference, I saw an interesting device and asked the developers to give it to me for a test.
"AngioScan-01P" - a personal diagnostic device for analyzing the state of the vascular system. ')
The device is a clothespin attached to the index finger. The red LED shines through the fingernail through the fingernail, and the photo sensor detects the vibrations of the vessels through which blood circulates. A few hundred measurements are made in a second. This allows us to diagnose many parameters of the state of the circulatory system according to the dynamics of oscillation of blood vessels.
The device is controlled by a single button: short press moves through the menu, long - executes the selected item.
The test lasts two minutes. After testing, you can see the results.
For each of the nine users, you can set the age, height, and typical pressure. These parameters do not affect the test results in any way, they are necessary for the correct display of the scale, which shows how good or bad the result is for a particular patient.
As it turned out, the device correctly diagnoses the circulatory system only in adults (over 16 years). It is a pity that nothing is written about this in the instructions. I only learned about this from the author of the method, Professor A. S. Parfenov, after the device showed rather poor results with my eight-year-old son.
So, what shows the device and what it is for.
1. Pulse rate. It is believed that the heart has a resource number of reductions. The higher the heart rate, the shorter the life. High heart rate (tachycardia) is a serious risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. In addition, by measuring the pulse rate at rest and after 20 squats, you can check the level of fitness of the cardiovascular system.
2. Age of the vascular system. By measuring the elasticity of the small arteries, the device shows the age of the circulatory system in years. If this age corresponds to the physical, or less than it - everything is in order.
3. Type of wave. Shows the qualitative characteristics of the arteries. There are three types of waves - A (everything is bad), B (normal) and C (good).
4. Stiffness of blood vessels. This parameter indicates the condition of the large arteries. High vessel stiffness affects the cerebral and renal blood flow.
5. The stress index. The parameter shows how well the dynamic regulation of the cardiovascular system works. If everything works as it should, the pulse rate is constantly changing, if the frequency is constant, there are violations.
For ordinary patients it is very convenient that in addition to numerical values, the value on the scale from red (bad) to green (good) is shown on each result.
The device has a lot of options for use. In addition to a single diagnosis of the circulatory system, it can be used for dynamic observation of the body. With it, you can easily determine whether medications help, what effect physical exercises have, how the body reacts to food eaten.
All results are saved. The device can be used not only autonomously, but also by connecting it to a computer via a USB port. The program for viewing results and statistics is attached.
The first trial batch of Angioskan was released in April. Now the device is undergoing clinical trials. The price of the device is still quite high - 12,000 rubles, but with mass production it can become much lower.
It is planned to create a simplified version of the device - without a screen, but with Bluetooth. At the same time, the heart of the device - the diagnostic program will work on mobile devices iPhone / Android.
Interestingly, this is a purely Russian development. There are no analogues in the world.
