Despite the fact that many large IT corporations are going to cut thousands of their employees in the near future, some companies are still trying to expand, rather than shrink. So, IBM opens a new data center in Russia. True, the exact opening date will be known only on Thursday. This data center is designed to improve the company's work with clients from Russia and the CIS.
It is worth noting that the new IBM data center will be located in Moscow. The cost of this complex was approximately 10 million US dollars. As usual, the data center will be connected with other data centers of the company, for better interaction of the entire infrastructure. Another interesting fact is that the data center built in Russia is slightly smaller than its foreign “colleagues”.

There were, as usual, and anonymous sources who have some information about the project. For example, sources report that the new data center will be less than others, and the reason for this is the unstable investment situation in the country. However, the data center will soon be open, and will serve customers from the Russian Federation and neighboring countries. The total amount invested by the company in its data centers is about a third of a billion dollars.
It is worth noting that not so long ago the company opened its office in Donetsk, although earlier it worked in the region through intermediaries.
