Nokia is preparing a budget model on Windows Phone 8

Despite a noticeable wave of negativity after the presentation of Nokia's new Lumia - primarily from journalists of various online publications trying to catch the Finnish manufacturer from mistakes, deception and simply misunderstandings - the company itself does not sit still and, apparently, is planning an expansion of Windows Phone 8 to the masses by releasing a budget smartphone model codenamed Flame.

According to information cited by The Verge's reviewers, Flame will be a smartphone with a 4 "-inch screen, 512 MB of RAM, a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1 GHz, a 5 megapixel camera and 4 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with microSD cards.

The price of the smartphone is still unknown, but the model is positioned as a “low-end”, so we can assume that the price will be comparable with budget devices on Android (it is also suggested that the price will correspond to the prices of Lumia 610 and 710). On the shelves of stores Flame should appear in early 2013.

In addition to the budget model, Nokia is preparing a “mid-level” device under the code name Zeal, which will differ from Flame only in screen size - in this case, the screen diagonal will be 4.3-inch-inch and the internal memory will be 8 GB.

Thus, we can make a cautious conclusion that, at the beginning of next year, Nokia and Windows Phone 8 will be expanding at once in all price segments, which, of course, should greatly contribute to popularizing the mobile platform in spite of the undivided reigns in the Android and iOS market.
