A well-known service that aggregates the definitions of viruses and other malware from information security companies has become a subsidiary of Google. VirusTotal management has already stated that the service will continue to work as usual and will comply with all existing agreements, as well as maintain relative autonomy from Google. Nevertheless, the transition to the cloud infrastructure of the search giant is expected to increase the speed of the service. I hope that thanks to this takeover, Google Safebrowsing filters and the Google Play Bouncer mechanism will start working much more efficiently.
