ASUS Announces Discontinuing Eee-PC Netbooks

Jerry Shen, head of ASUS, officially confirmed the end of the release of the super-successful EeePC netbook series. The netbook space should replace the Transformer tablet, allowing you to plug in a keyboard.
According to DigiTimes, the departure from the sphere of netbooks is associated with an increase in the popularity of tablet PCs, as well as the fact that Windows 8 does not support the resolution of 1024 * 600 (the company apparently did not think about switching to ACT).
There are officially unconfirmed rumors that ACER also curtailed netbook production.
