Archos released gaming tablet

Archos has been launching tablet PCs for a very long time, and there are some very good models in the portfolio. Now the company is trying to take its place in the market of tablet computers, a market that has increased many times over the past few days. So, the other day Archos introduced a gaming tablet that really looks like a gadget, and not a kind of hybrid bulldog with a rhino.

Unlike most other tablets, this device is equipped with hardware buttons and analog sticks. The device is called Archos GamePad, so that it is immediately clear for which audience this device is intended. The configuration of the tablet is not very powerful, but it is enough for the work of most mobile toys.

Thus, a dual-core processor with a core frequency of 1.5 GHz is installed in the system. In addition, there is a quad-core graphics subsystem Mali 400. Do not forget about the built-in 8 GB of memory available to the user. The amount of available memory can be expanded using an SD card. There are a pair of stereo speakers, miniHDMI output. As mentioned above, the developers made sure that the tablet was equipped with standard buttons A | B | X | Y, D-pad and analog sticks (two).

The tablet works on the basis of Android, where the base of games is becoming more and more extensive. And of course, on a purely touchscreen display, it may not be very convenient to control the gameplay. And Archos GamePad gives new features to players.

The tablet is not a conceptual project. It should appear in Europe and the United States already this October, at a price of $ 187.
