Lexmark ceases inkjet production

Yesterday, Lexmark announced the discontinuation of inkjet printers since 2013, as well as the dismissal of 1,700 employees. Service, support and supply of consumables for devices sold will continue for several years: ink and cartridges will produce another two years, here the margin is high .

Under the dismissal, partly get employees of R & D, sales and service. By the end of 2015, a Lexmark-owned consumables factory in the Philippines will be closed. Now Lexmark is looking for a buyer for the existing patent and inkjet technology package.
