The development team is proud to announce the release of version 0.11.4 of Stellarium , a free open source planetarium that creates a realistic three-dimensional sky as if we were looking at it with the naked eye, through binoculars or telescope.
In this version, in addition to working on bugs and improvements in the interface, some interesting new features were added:
New Exoplanets plugin - now you can see which stars have planetary systems and basic data about these planets.
New plugin Observability Analysis - now Stellarium can tell about the dates of sunrise, sunset and the culmination of the heavenly bodies. In addition, the periods of the best and worst visibility of the luminaries for the current year are indicated.
Reworked night mode - astronomy lovers will appreciate its capabilities in the field.
Improved support for BSD systems - FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD.
Several scenarios have been added to the standard delivery, which, in addition to demonstrating the capabilities of the planetarium, show interesting and rare astronomical phenomena in the entire solar system (for example, solar eclipses on Mars).
