Gulnara Lastovetskaya, Business Development Manager
Today in technology, schoolchildren are often more savvy than their teachers. Yes, not all teachers need to be advanced users of complex programs, but they must have the necessary computer skills to keep up with the times.
That is why on November 2, 2012, we are launching Google’s Academy of Teachers in Russia. This is a professional development program designed for school teachers and other educators who want to effectively use modern information and computer technology in the educational process. The academy’s teachers will be Google project managers and practice educators who have extensive experience using our services in their work. Students can share their experience in introducing technologies into the educational process and get an assessment of professionals.
50 teachers and educators selected by Google on the basis of the competition will be able to take part in the Academy. Academy graduates will receive Google Certified Teacher status.
