Defense Distributed: open source firearms

I believe that it was inevitable in a good way. Some friends of freedom began a project whose goal is to develop and distribute open source drawings of such firearms, which can be printed by a 3D printer. You can read about it on the Defense Distributed website.

I approve of this, of course. I approve of any development that makes it difficult for governments and criminality to have a monopoly on the use of force. As 3D printers become cheaper and more widely distributed, this project can be a major step in the right direction.
