Bitinstant is going to issue a Bitcoin payment card

One of the co-founders of the Bitinstant service , Charlie Shrem, in the IRC chat confirmed that one of the most important events in the history of cryptocurrency Bitcoin will occur in the next 6-8 weeks. Now it will be possible to pay with Bitcoins in any place where they accept MasterCard payment cards. The card will be issued by one of the major international banks (which one is not yet known). A QR code with the owner’s bitcoin address will be printed on the front of the card, on the back, this address will be in text form. Otherwise, it will be a regular bank card.



Issuing a card will cost about $ 10, and the first thousand cards will be issued for free. A 1% commission will be charged for depositing an account, and withdrawals via an ATM will cost from $ 1.5. Funds on the account will be stored in Bitcoin, exchange for other currencies will occur at the time of the transaction.
