Windows Phone will be ahead of BlackBerry by November 2012

At least three leading research firms believe that Windows Phone will bypass iOS by 2015, but it’s almost impossible to look so far into the future of the mobile ecosystem. However, we can get an idea of what will happen in the next few months, and StatCounter predicts that Windows Phone will be ahead of BlackBerry very soon.

According to WMPowerUser , Microsoft’s mobile platform will bypass the BlackBerry in the US by November of this year. However, this has little to do with the success of Windows Phone, much more it is connected with the impressive failure of the BlackBerry.

It is expected that in a few months Samsung and Nokia, the two main players of Windows Phone, will release a number of new smartphones based on WP, while, according to reports, BlackBerry 10 will be released only next year. So most likely the US market will officially conquer Microsoft, and RIM will move to fourth position.

Whether or not Windows Phone will overtake iOS will be another question. So far it seems unlikely based on what we are doing now, but Windows 8 may well help the company in the mobile sphere and at least push Microsoft to the third position in the world of mobile operating systems.
