OnLive officially announced the transfer of its assets to the new owner

Yesterday, news appeared on Habré (or rather, more rumors) that the OnLive company could curtail its activities, i.e. to close Today, the company management confirmed the transfer of its assets to another company. But the OnLive service itself will continue to work. In addition, the company, which transferred the assets of OnLive, will operate under the same brand. So the final consumer of the product will not notice anything at all. Well, the fact that the service will already work in the hands of another company, for the average gamer is clearly indifferent.

At the very same company things are bad - it is bankrupt. Now there will be a procedure called “transferring the title to the bankrupt’s property to creditors to the attorney”. By the way, about half of the company's staff will go to a new employer, so, in fact, all the same people will work on the service. In addition, new employees will be hired, perhaps more than half of the original Onlive staff will be transferred to the new company.

According to the management, the Onlive service was “in service” 24/7, for two years. And, probably, this mode of operation will continue in the future. All games, services and other products will be kept unchanged. The new company, in addition, will create new products, make new proposals.

In general, the service will live, and this is important. Despite the fact that at the same time, only 1,600 people play on 8,000 server companies, the situation may change in the future. And the new leadership will try to do everything to attract new players.
