Good morning, I want to share with the community how to get 20 GB for free in the next Ubuntu One cloud service.
Ubuntu One is a cloud service that goes by default in ubuntu, when registering it gives 5GB of disk space, and there are also clients for Windows, Android, iPhone & iPad and OS X (
tyts ). Under Mac, only file synchronization works.
Recently, the service has opened a referral program (finally). For each guest you receive 500MB, and the guest himself receives 500MB.
')
You can get the link in your personal account, in the dashboard section, up to 40 users can be invited.
But there is a way not to bathe with 40 new mailboxes.
At the moment, it is possible to get 20 gig using one mailbox. And so, we need:
- Get a referral link in the main account
- By this link register a new user, and you will immediately receive 500MB
- Now we go into a new account, in the section My Account, scroll down to Your storage and click on the button.
- Now we cancel the subscription 2 times ( in the new account, we don’t do anything with the old one )
- Go to My Account and activate the subscription again
- And so until you get bored)

When they find out about the bug and what will happen with the extra space, I do not know, but I think that you can take advantage of this opportunity.
UPD: Bug fixed.
UPD2: The main idea of this post is that the Ubuntovs finally opened a referral program to increase the space in their cloud, and the bug was found, used and closed.
