Forum forum.ubuntu.ru again in the ranks, after several days of oblivion.
Quote from the forum : “At about 15.30 Moscow time on Monday, October 8, the work of ubuntu.ru and forum.ubuntu.ru was suspended by hosting administrators providing servers for projects of European ubuntu teams. This was done because of suspicions that unknown attackers exploited a security issue in the SMF forum program. The suspicions were confirmed by a number of facts and the hosting administration decided to re-initialize the account. As a result, it was necessary to install and configure software and restore user data. ”
The base was indeed restored (although, perhaps, not to the very last state - I didn’t count a couple of last personal messages sent right before the crash).
Old user accounts are quite working for themselves (it was not necessary to re-request the password, although it is recommended to change it).
