Julian Assange received political asylum in Ecuador

The President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, agreed to grant asylum to Julian Assange, the founder of the WikiLeaks project.

An interesting point: at the end of July, the mother of the activist Christine Assange arrived in the capital of Ecuador to personally ask the authorities of the republic to provide political asylum to her son.
