Virtual worlds built using Google services

The developer of the virtual worlds platform Multiverse Network has announced a partnership that will allow everyone in the future to create a three-dimensional interactive environment using reliefs taken from Google Earth, as well as any models from the repository of the three-dimensional models of Google 3D Warehouse .

The idea is simple: Multiverse Network technologies provide game developers with tools for building virtual worlds, allowing them to select 3D models created in Google SketchUp from a huge list of 3D Warehouse repository models and import parts of the terrain, specifying a specific latitude-longitude from Google Earth.

That is, if you want to build a virtual city on the basis of a real one, then with the help of a new technology, you can easily recreate both the terrain itself and the buildings in the 3D Warehouse database.

Multiverse technology already at the moment can serve more than a thousand users on a single server, that is, thousands of people can occupy virtual worlds built using Multiverse technology.
