Theory of EMO

Emo (eng. Emo, short for “emotional”, also transcribed “Imo”) is a term denoting a special kind of hardcore music based on crushing strong emotions in the vocalist’s voice and melodic but sometimes chaotic musical component. Shrieking, crying, moaning, whisper, breaking on the cry - the distinctive features of this style. Lyrics are personal in nature - about the experiences of the author, and in some cases about politics.
