Estonian Information Technology Demo Center

In the past 12 years, many different e-services have appeared in Estonia: ID card, e-election, Internet banks, e-tax return , e-school, Mobile-ID , digital recipe, e-ticket for public transport, e-government services, portal for meter readings and payment of electricity bills, and so on and so forth.

But the most important thing is that X-Road was created in Estonia - an infrastructure uniting registers and information systems of various departments. A similar system is no longer anywhere in the world. This became possible primarily due to political unity and independence, as well as correct laws, adopted in time in the 90s.

Naturally, guests visiting Estonia show an increased interest in Estonian e-government IT achievements. And especially for such guests, the ICT Demo Center was created in Tallinn 3.5 years ago. Almost every day, ministers, businessmen, investors and journalists from different countries come to the Estonian Demo ICT Center to get acquainted with the Estonian experience and find potential partners.
