Apple has published Open Source components Mac OS X 10.8

Apple is one of the major patent holders, but this does not prevent the company from making a large contribution to free technology. And now, quite a bit of time has passed since the release of Mac OS X Mountain Lion, as Apple published the Open Source components of their latest operating system.

Each component is available for download, and a list of licenses under which the component is distributed is displayed.
