Harmful mobile apps

Dear business owners! Smartphone users in most cases do not need your applications. They are not needed by you either, because you pay money for their development, and then you also lose sales or just anger your customers.

A vivid example of a bad application.
Ukrainian "New Mail" (a private postal company) decided to go "in step with the times" and release its special program. The client enters the browser, enters in the search bar, for example, “New Mail of the office in Kiev” and receives the expected result:

Having chosen the first item, the person expects to see the addresses of the representative offices. But it was not there.

He will take a look at the proposed 2.1 MB (!) Application , in fact, offering the functions of viewing the same information that is on the site, and, if he is very attentive, will find a link to the full version of the site at the bottom of the page. The adventures did not end there: it does not go to the page that Google found, but simply to the main version of the site:

Note that here too a large share of expensive mobile screen space is occupied by advertising of the same mobile application.
In principle, on this joyful note, if a potential client had other options for receiving postal services, he will certainly try to contact them - simply because on his, it seems, quite modern smartphone, find the address of the nearest post office or contact telephone number of mail - whole adventure.

What had to be done by “New Mail” and other similar companies?
Everything is very simple: the resources spent on developing a mobile application should have been invested in adapting the website to mobile phones. Thus, the most important channel for the arrival of new customers - Google and other search engines - is not lost. Gentlemen, you will never find customers through the App Store or Play Market.
