It may have become known the cost of a license for Windows 8
Regarding the RTM version of Windows 8 that went into print, one of the most interesting moments may have become known - the cost of a license for a new system.
One of the users posted a screenshot on the German Deskmodder forum, from which it simply follows that the cost of acquiring a license key for Windows 8 Pro will be € 59.99 (or $ 69.99). Moreover, if the user wants to purchase a DVD with the system, then he will also have such an opportunity - the price in this case will be € 14.99 (or, again considering the well-known marketing move, $ 18.99).

Of course, all of the above is only an assumption, but there are several significant reasons for believing that the price of a license for Windows 8 is unlikely to differ from that indicated in a significant way.
About a month ago it became known that owners of licensed copies of outdated and not very Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 will be able to upgrade to a new version of the operating system for a fairly small fee of $ 39.99. Given the high popularity of XP and the "seven", we can assume that most of the legitimate owners of the system will choose the option with the update, while the option of a "boxed" system sale for a more substantial price looks from Microsoft a rather careless step. And given the fact that users will have to get used to the unusual interface at least, the desire of the company for relatively little money to transfer users to the new system seems to be quite appropriate.
