Google’s billing system has received new features

Payment systems are now quite a lot, including all sorts of offline and online services. When Google launched its own payment system, Google Wallet, few people believed in its success. Some experts predicted the imminent closure of the project. But so far everything is going wrong, slowly but surely the system is developing, acquiring new functions and getting new partners.

So, the corporation has recently updated the system, adding support for systems such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. So working with these payment systems is quite simple. In addition, the corporation has reached a partnership with 25 major US retail chains. As a result, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover can now be settled on these networks using only Google Wallet. By the way, more and more mobile devices support Google Wallet (for example, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, LG Viper, LG Optimus and HTC EVO 4G, plus some mobile devices from US telecom operators).

Previously, the method of storing payment information (including bank card numbers) was repeatedly criticized. Google Wallet used to store the memory of a mobile device. It is logical that if you lose your phone, you can begin to worry about your billing information and the people in whose hands such data fell. Now, all this is stored in the "cloud", the mobile device is used only as a terminal that transmits everything to external storage.

In addition to the enhanced security of Google Wallet, users of this payment system also received the opportunity to check the progress of the payment process and monitor other transactions in their wallet.

It is clear that, for the time being, the dignity of this system can be assessed mainly by residents of the United States, but probably within half a year or a year Google Wallet will be able to compete with existing solutions outside the United States.
