Google Inc. has long announced its intention to remove non-profit and non-core services, in order to focus on the main direction of work. This year, several Google services have already been closed, and the other day, representatives of the corporation reported that Google Apps For Teams, Google Listen and Google Video For Business were about to close soon. It is unlikely that a large number of representatives of the habrasoobshchestvo worked with these services, but, without any doubt, some of you still used them.
It is worth noting that in an effort to remove non-core services, the corporation has stopped working even with its popular resources, including iGoogle and Google Video.

As for Google Apps for teams, this service was launched in 2008, and allowed business representatives, as well as educational institutions, to use Google Docs and some other resources without having to register an e-mail on Gmail. Representatives of the corporation said that Google Apps for teams, in their opinion, did not become useful for people, and will stop working on September 4. It is on September 4th that Google Apps for teams user accounts will be converted to regular Google profiles.
As for Google Listen, this service was launched as one of the projects in Google Labs. It was created as a tool to find and listen to podcasts. Now Google Play offers so many applications for this purpose that the company decided to close the service on November 1 of this year. Existing users will be able to listen to their podcasts to which they have subscribed, in Google Reader.
Google Video for Business, a service that allows you to host your own videos for certain categories of users, will be closed. But previously posted videos will transfer to Google Drive, with the appropriate permissions to view.
