Frankly speaking, the year 2007 was varied for various events: the elderly CIB and RIF , the newly-made RET collection organizer , overloaded (as the name suggests) HighLoad . There was also a student evening of meetings with a grammatical error in the title - SofTool . But this is not interesting.
I have always been interested in the origin of various holidays and events held on them. May 9 - that's all clear with him. February 23, too: the men traditionally burst on that day simply because they were men. March 8 is a little more complicated: not finding husbands after 23, women came up with a “women's day” so that the men, even with two bottles and a dispute, returned home. About the tradition of giving flowers nothing is said, but it can be assumed that the mistress was not at home. But interesting and not that.
Another thing is an excess: the best minds calculated that the 256th day of the year would be more often than others working, and therefore they decided to make a kind of protest - the programmer's day.

But why the hell November 8th was a day of usability is still unclear. It is highlighted that this holiday is invited to celebrate two independent teams at once: client2007.ru and wud2007.ru , and the first will warm up the public on November 6 and 7, and the second will regale the team that has already absorbed the mood (where I did not invent quotes).
It is a pity that there is nothing special to talk about WUD : the site is very modestly located only an excursion into the program of the event and an overview of its participants.
CLIENTSIDE has a slightly better situation. The gurus (indeed, gurus) are named: Artemy Lomov - a practicing web developer who promotes web standards, the author of the book “HTML, CSS, scripts: the practice of creating websites”; Konstantin Samoilov - Chairman of the Russian Department of ACM Ergonomics and Usability; Sergey Shvetsov and Andrey Zolotov are specialists at Usethics, the oldest company engaged in the development and testing of interfaces.
As I understand it, unlike all other events, it will be highly specialized, combining all the technologies used on the client side of computers and mobile devices, which is extremely at odds with the entire RHS that collected itself and does not think about HighLoad.
It should be noted that the number of seats on ClientSide-2007 ProfyClub has reduced. At least, if this week to submit an application (as I did, what I am proud of), then you will get iron.
