The first computer was purchased by my father in 1991, when I was 10 years old. We then lived near Berlin in the Soviet military garrison and his appearance was a matter of time - after the purchase of a TV and VCR. It was the IBM PC 286. It looked like this:

Mastering began immediately. The book of Figurnov was recognized as boring - it’s so interesting to climb everywhere yourself and understand everything. A couple of times I broke everything fatally, anxiously waiting for my dad to return home, to confess to him what he had done)) At first, it was thrown away from three-inch floppy disks and their capacity! As many as 1.44 MB. Even in secret, I dreamed that I would have my own floppy disk on which I would write something. There was also an amusing keyhole on the case - it was possible to lock the computer with a key)) I was not allowed to sit behind it for more than an hour or two a day, but this was more than enough.
Then there was Turbo BASIC with a yellow code on a black background and a bunch of books on it (How Petya Baysikov taught Tony Soobrazalkin to program):

The first own programs, the apotheosis of which was the game “Cockroach Races” - where the player made bets, and the cockroaches raced across the screen obeying the RND function ... unfortunately, I did an empty cycle then, which makes the process lightning fast on a modern computer))
Then came Windows 3.1, which runs as a regular DOS program (in German, of course):

Well, where was the classic games ... Prince of Persia:

CD-MAN:

F-19, in which so many keys and their combinations were involved, that it was possible to go crazy, but what a thrill it was then to use them without looking:

And may I not become a programmer and have no relation to IT at all, but that first experience is invaluable - I won’t be caught unaware by the look of an empty DOS line)
