It turns out that Microsoft’s website has a small article called
Windows Products and Technologies History - it was published four years ago and at least infrequently (no Vista, DirectX 10), but updated.
It turns out that the first version of Windows was released back in 1983, when some of us were still alive with us, and Windows XP, which is very popular now, was released 6 years ago. DirectX appeared in 1995 and very quickly became a standard in game development. In the same year, Windows 95, Internet Explorer 1.0 and 2.0 also appeared.
The article consists of the following parts:
- Windows Overview & History
Windows Desktop Timeline
Windows Desktop Products History
Windows Technologies History
Internet Explorer History
Windows Server Timeline
Windows Server Products History
Other Windows Products No matter how we relate to Microsoft products, the modern era without them is extremely difficult to imagine, so the article is in history!
