Interactive Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers
published a report on online advertising revenues for the second quarter and six months of 2007.
Revenues from online advertising (in the United States) in the first six months amounted to almost $ 10 billion, which beat last year's record (also for the first 6 months) by 27%. Income from advertising on the Web in the second quarter of 2007 amounted to $ 5.1 billion - this is the first time that quarterly revenue exceeded $ 5 billion, which is 25% more compared to the same period in 2006.
“Revenues from online advertising continue to grow - this is good news, albeit quite obvious,” said the executive director of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, Randall Rothenberg.
Advertising formats - search and graphics remain the most popular.
