President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych signed the Law “On Amendments to Section XX“ Transitional Provisions “of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the specifics of taxation of subjects of the software industry”. This document July 5 adopted the parliament of the country. The law provides for temporarily, from January 1, 2013 until January 1, 2023, to exempt value-added transactions for the supply of software products from taxation. To software products include the results of computer programming in the form of: - operating system - system, application, entertainment and / or educational computer program (their components), - as well as in the form of Internet sites and / or online services ; Also under the law fall cryptographic means of protecting information. The new law excludes the norms providing for the need to conduct unscheduled inspections of IT subjects by the tax authorities and to obtain the relevant conclusion of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Information of Ukraine.
